Ride the Withlacoochee Trail - various times and speeds

RIDE THE WITHLACOOCHEE TRAIL (doesn’t matter how fast or how far, it’s a Rails-to-Trails)!
In answer to popular request, we will be riding the Withlacoochee this Sunday morning… suggested ride options are listed below.
OPTION #1: I will be leading a 48.5 mile ride starting from the Ridge Manor trailhead to Inverness and back leaving at 9:00. This will include a stop at the ever-popular Stumpknockers Restaurant in Inverness for lunch (http://stumpknockersonthesquare.com).
OPTION #2: For those who wish to do a shorter and/or slower ride, you can do a 28.5 mile ride leaving from Lake Townsen Preserve park in Istachatta (http://floridanaturecoast.org/County/Hernando/LakeTownsen/LakeTownsen.aspxat 9:30 and join up with us for lunch at Stumpknockers.
OPTION #3: For those who wish to do a pre-CycleFest metric century training ride, you can leave from the Ridge Manor trailhead at 8:30 and ride 62.5 miles to Hernando, with a stop to eat lunch with us at Stumpknockers on the return.
OPTION #4: For those who wish to do a pre-CycleFest 104-mile ride, you can start at the Ridge Manor trailhead at 7:00 and ride south to the 301 trailhead, then back north to the Citrus Springs Trailhead, and return to Inverness to have lunch with us at Stumpknockers, before heading back to the 301 trailhead and returning to the Ridge Manor trailhead.

To get there, take I-75 N to highway 50/98 (Exit 301) and go east for about a mile to the light at Croom Rital Road and turn left. The Ridge Manor trailhead will be on the right. Yes, it’s a bit of a drive (about 1-1/2 hours) but worth every mile! Also, the weather looks GREAT for Sunday (low 70s to mid 80s)!!!!
